Carette's turning 5 this month...

It's her 5th show.....

and I'm 5 months pregnant.....



She won 2 of 3 classes with 74.8% and 73.3% at The Dressage Affaire. I look forward to the day when sitting the trot does not mean I have to pee!

Carette's first field trip

We didn't go far, but we did go away from home for her first away show at the Del Mar International. She was a good girl, scoring a 77.2% on Saturday. By Sunday she was a bit pooped and had nothing left in the tank to keep herself together. At least she tried...

We've started playing with lengthenings, counter canter, lateral work. So far so good. I have to keep in mind she's a big girl..and not quite 4 1/2.

SuperSTAR!

More strength and indeed, Carette rocked the house with an astounding 75.2% on Saturday. She followed up with an encore on Sunday, won over hearts & souls, with a stunning 78.4%. This girl is a superstar!

Carette's second show. I couldn't be happier. We had mistakes. She needs more strength. But she tried. Even scored her first "9". Hopefully one of many...
